TexTalk FAQ's
How do I Join?

Simply SMS TEXTALK to 88199. We'll then send you a sms asking your age plus the age of TexTalk members you prefer to chat with, along with some other questions such as your postcode. At this stage all messages are free of charge.
What happens next?

You will then receive a welcome message and be asked to reply for free with a 'Hello' text message that you would like us to send to other TexTalk members.

The TexTalk system will then choose the people who are most likely to want to chat with you based on your answers to the profile questions and it will then send your 'Hello' text message to these TexTalk members. The selected members can then reply to your 'Hello' text message with personal text messages for you. When members receive these text messages, they simply reply as they would reply to a regular text message.

All interaction between TexTalk members is one-to-one.
Can I remain Anonymous?

At this stage contact details such as telephone numbers and addresses are disallowed, nor will we disclose any mobile numbers to any other members, so you can remain completely anonymous if you wish.
How old are TexTalk members?

You must be at least 18 years of age to become a TexTalk member.
How do I Cancel?

Cancel your TexTalk membership at any time by sending STOP to 88199. This will remove all your details from the system.

Alternatively you can send SUSPEND to 88199 which will mean that you do not receive further messages. Your details and your contacts will remain on TexTalk and you can continue chatting by sending MORE when you're ready.
What are the Charges?

You will be sent a reverse billed message for £1.50 - the charge will appear on your next Mobile Phone bill. As an introductory offer, this will entitle you to receive 15 messages from other members. These messages may be a 'Hello' message that another member has sent, or chat messages that other TexTalk members send in response to your 'Hello' message. After the introductory offer, each £1.50 billed message will entitle you to receive 6 messages.

After every 6 reverse billed messages (you've spent £9), you'll be sent a free text message advising how much you've spent and inviting you to text MORE if you wish to continue to use the service.

Billing messages may contain additional useful information but don't contain any chat content.
Can I submit a Picture?

You will be able to submit an image profile of yourself via a MMS message.
Are there restrictions on Text Content?

There are a strict set of industry guidelines that disallow the transmission of content such as foul language, racial slurs etc. TexTalk moderates text chat and any messages that breach the guidelines will be returned to the sender with a request for re-composition.
The sender will be warned of the consequences of future digressions. Repeat offenders will have their membership terminated and their mobile number will be barred from further activity on the service.

What if I am unhappy with the TexTalk Service?

Full refunds will be paid directly to all dissatisfied customers unless the service has been used excessively. |
